Isla Tabarca & Santa Pola

About the trip

It is the only inhabited island in the Valencian Community, the tiny island of Tabarca is a part of the city Alicante. 🗺 🏖 At one moment Berber pirates conquered the island and based themselves there. Later Carlos III repopulated with Genoese citizens it in the 18th century while they were rescued from their captivity on the island Tunisian from Tabarka. This is where the name Tabarca comes from. There is so much history to explore apart from its extraordinary nature. It is an experience you will never forget.

Tabarca consists of lots of small islands which are both sprightly and quiet, with beaches and coves which are amazing to explore. The island is not that far from the busy city of Alicante, yet it is distant enough to feel secluded.
